Mission Statement
"Through integrity and diligence, we will actively seek to become positive influences on the students we educate by encouraging responsibility, leadership, and obedience to those in authority. We will tenaciously strive for excellence in our work, thereby providing the best possible learning environment for our students. We will aim to faithfully and humbly serve each and every person we encounter."
Martial Arts Styles
We teach the Chuck Norris system of American Tang Soo Do and Krav Maga. Tang Soo Do means "the way of the knife hand" or "the way of the Chinese hand." It contains characteristics of Chinese methods and Japanese striking styles.
Chuck Norris earned his black belt in Tang Soo Do while in the Air Force. He then studied many other martial arts styles including Judo, Brazilian Jujitsu, and Hapkido. He took what he learned in the different styles and applied it to his base style Tang Soo Do to create a more well-balanced mixed martial art, American Tang Soo Do.
Our curriculum is always evolving to ensure that students are learning the most effective techniques available.
Krav Maga is not a traditional martial art. It was developed in an environment where the Israeli military could not devote many hours to hand to hand combat training. Therefore, the Krav Maga system was created to bring students to a high level of skill in a relatively short period of time. Krav Maga training focuses on teaching simple self-defense techniques which are specifically catered to reality based attack situations. Many techniques originated in Muay Thai, kickboxing, boxing, and wrestling, with other techniques call from Ju-Jitsu and Karate.
